The afterlife becomes a volatile espionage battlefield as Agent Urassik wakes in Diyu after the apocalypse cuts short his clash with General Lei. Drafted by Lord Yama, king of hell, he takes command of Unit 7, an anti-terror cell operating in the sprawling dead-world capital of Youdu. Mythical Agent mixes supernatural Chinese underworld imagery with secret-agent intrigue, turning demons, political threats, and personal grudges into a tense strategy RPG campaign. Its mood balances grim questions about death and destiny with the sharper character drama of an unruly squad forced to work together.

Missions ask Urassik to lead his team against hostile forces while making tactical use of each member’s abilities and managing the risks that come with a difficult operation. The wider loop moves between combat assignments and downtime, where conversations and free-time events reveal Unit 7’s histories, motives, and conflicting personalities. Building relationships is more than flavor: your treatment of allies affects their loyalty and behavior, making team management part of the strategic challenge. Decisions made across investigations, missions, and personal scenes branch the narrative in subtle ways or send it toward entirely different outcomes, with twelve major endings available.

Rather than presenting hell as a generic fantasy dungeon, the game frames Diyu as a functioning capital full of agencies, factions, terrorism, and mysteries surrounding the end of the living world. Lord Zepar’s looming scheme gives the story a central antagonist, while Urassik’s search for answers leaves room for romance, betrayal, and difficult loyalties within his own unit. The emphasis on choice and squad bonds gives it some of the appeal of character-focused tactical RPGs such as Fire Emblem or Persona’s social systems, though its setting is far more rooted in underworld mythology and spy fiction.
