It feels like a lost action RPG from the handheld era, rebuilt around modern levels of customization.

Each run centers on tackling short, randomly arranged dungeons, cutting through enemies in real time, collecting equipment, and pushing toward a boss or objective. You choose from multiple character classes with different weapons and attack styles, then improve stats through gear, level gains, and the standout Magic Circle system. That system lets supporting characters form protective patterns around your active fighter, adding bonuses while also turning their placement into a tactical puzzle; lose those allies and your main character becomes far more vulnerable. Difficulty ramps up through optional challenges and tougher dungeon layouts, rewarding players who learn enemy behavior instead of relying solely on button mashing.

Character creation is where Cladun X2 separates itself from most retro-styled crawlers. An in-game pixel editor allows players to draw their own heroes, allies, weapons, and other visual elements, giving parties a personal look that goes well beyond preset armor colors. The bite-sized dungeon structure makes it easy to play in short sessions, while the amount of loot, class experimentation, and party optimization gives dedicated action-RPG fans plenty to work toward.
