What makes the adventure special is how densely packed its compact neighborhoods feel. Every alley seems to hide a restaurant, gambling den, arcade machine, collectible, training challenge, or bizarre substories involving citizens whose problems range from touching to completely unhinged. The period setting is more than decoration: bubble-era excess shapes the music, fashion, economy, and the sense that every night can spiral out of control.
