Its mood is mystical and thoughtful rather than action-heavy, though danger is always present when unwanted visitors enter the garden. Progress comes from uncovering why the place is unsettled and deciding how to restore order without assuming every problem has one obvious answer.

Players move through hand-crafted puzzle spaces, wrangling restless spirits, avoiding threats, and using artifacts to change the conditions around them. Characters follow their own needs and routines, so solving a challenge often means observing who wants what, then manipulating their relationships or surroundings to create an opening. New items expand both traversal and puzzle options, gradually allowing control over increasingly elaborate aspects of the environment, including time and space. The levels connect through a branching, Metroidvania-like world map, while each completed area becomes fixed, making choices and solutions part of the shape of that particular run.
