Puzzle Forge Dungeon turns that rescue mission into a compact turn-based crawler where every weapon begins as a puzzle on an anvil. The mood is colorful and lightly comic rather than grim, with a deliberately silly creature roster supporting a campaign about rebuilding a ruined settlement. Its strongest idea is simple: instead of merely finding swords and spells, you forge your attacks in the middle of battle.

Each turn asks you to arrange matching materials on a grid, creating weapons that can be hurled at enemies for damage and useful effects. Positioning pieces, conserving limited resources, and choosing when to use hero skills matter as much as making the largest possible match, since hostile groups and bosses demand different answers. Clearing districts gradually restores Anvilar, unlocking practical services and additional heroes for your roster. Recruits can be healed and upgraded, while certain encounters reveal more about their personal stories, giving the party management a little more weight between fights.

The appeal comes from the way match-3 planning and dungeon combat constantly feed into one another: a clever board can save a weak team, while a badly timed forge can leave you exposed. Fifty enemy types, bespoke boss encounters, and randomized enemy formations prevent the campaign from feeling like a fixed sequence of puzzle boards. Completing the city also opens an endless procedurally generated mode, offering a stronger reason to keep refining builds after the main districts are secure.
