What stands out most is the freedom of movement: launching across rooftops and valleys with Gum-Gum Rocket makes traversal feel appropriately playful, even when the missions themselves are fairly conventional. Jail Island’s industrial sci-fi look is a different visual flavor from many One Piece locations, and characters created for the game give the plot its own identity. Combat lacks the precision and variety of games like Devil May Cry, while the open world is more compact and structured than a true sandbox, but the setting offers a satisfying place to spend time as Luffy.
