Its campaign adds quests, new regions, and a home base that expands between expeditions, while a separate roguelike mode offers a harsher, more repeatable challenge. The mood is playful and strange on the surface, but careless positioning and missed enemy abilities quickly turn runs into disasters.

Combat revolves around reading the board, managing each hero’s available actions, and using a personalized deck of skills to control dangerous encounters. Procedurally arranged dungeons draw from handcrafted rooms, so familiar locations retain their own identity while layouts, encounters, and tactical problems keep shifting.
