A cruel schoolyard prank becomes the spark for a grim visual novel about resentment, humiliation, and the consequences of seeing what people truly think. Suteru Tanezaki lives as an outcast, mocked for his appearance and pushed past his breaking point when a supposed confession from his crush turns out to be another act of public cruelty. Shimokura Vio’s writing favors layered reveals over straightforward wish fulfillment, so apparent villains often become more complicated as each route progresses.
