Daily play revolves around gathering materials, processing bodies and natural resources, constructing increasingly elaborate equipment, and turning manual chores into automated production lines. Zombies handle repetitive labor once assigned to suitable jobs, freeing the player to improve the graveyard, manage supply chains, pursue quests, and expand operations across the settlement. Combat adds a major new layer: the Inquisitor equips troops, trains an undead force, builds defenses around town, and personally joins battles against the spreading horde. Progress appears to come from balancing practical town needs against ambitious manufacturing projects, with better tools, armor, weapons, fortifications, and infrastructure opening more efficient ways to run the operation.

What makes the sequel appealing is the way it combines macabre life-sim humor with automation and light strategy rather than focusing solely on cemetery upkeep. Rebuilding homes and solving residents’ problems feeds directly into the economy, while zombie labor turns the usual fantasy-town errands into an increasingly self-sustaining machine. Fans of the first Graveyard Keeper, RimWorld-style resource juggling, or Factorio’s satisfaction of refining a messy workflow should find plenty to like, especially if they enjoy crude jokes alongside detailed systems.
