Entropy frames its post-apocalyptic RPG adventure through an unusually scrappy beginning: a theatrical troupe in the town of Draenog sees its performance cut short when monsters breach the gates, forcing actors to become defenders. The result is a bleak but often colorful journey through a world where medieval grime, demonic threats, and desperate survivors coexist. Its tone is grim without being humorless, and the improvised origins of the party give the opening a welcome dose of personality.

Travel across a broad overworld, visit settlements, speak with eccentric locals, take on quests, and search dangerous areas for equipment and valuables. Battles play out on tactical, turn-based grids, where positioning a squad of up to six characters matters as much as choosing attacks, abilities, and targets. Characters gain levels, improve their core attributes, and unlock perks that help define their battlefield roles, while fallen allies can be replaced by hired mercenaries rather than ending a campaign outright.
