Game Overview
Invimona is a harsh frontier island where a vanished farmstead becomes the spark for a far larger crisis. You rule a fragile settlement of Vollings, a people abandoned by their gods and forced to build their own pagan traditions amid the ruins of an older civilization. What begins as an investigation into missing colonists unfolds across hostile villages, isolated wilderness, tombs, political rivalries, and supernatural threats from nearby Exile Island. The mood is earthy, uneasy, and deliberately old-fashioned: survival depends less on following markers than on paying attention to people, places, and rumors.
You lead a four-person guard party through an open world without the safety net of a constant compass or exhaustive quest tracker. Conversations react to the abilities and traits of the companions you bring, making party composition matter outside combat as well as within it. Fights mix side-scrolling brawling with tactical control: allies can act on their own while you pause to choose targets, swap between guards, line up attacks, and exploit rally or critical moves against tougher enemies. Progression supports several playstyles, including weapon mastery, pagan rites, animal-related powers, music, and criminal talents, while portable field kits let the party craft useful ammunition and explosives away from town.
Its strongest idea is how many systems feed back into the social world. Theft, violence, and other offenses create bounties and alter local relationships, while decisions to arrest, stun, or kill suspects give guard work real consequences. Ancient gods compete for your devotion, rewarding offerings and completed favors with unusual relics and interventions, and conditional songs can quietly support the group when the right situation arises. Banquet for Fools should appeal to players who enjoy the low-guidance exploration of classic RPGs, the reactive factions of games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and party-focused tactical combat with a scrappy action-game edge. Patient RPG veterans will get the most from it, though newcomers willing to take notes and accept uncertainty may find its world unusually rewarding.

Setup Guide & Troubleshooting
How do I fix missing DLL errors for Banquet for Fools (v1.0234)?
After extracting Banquet for Fools (v1.0234), navigate to the _Redist or _CommonRedist folder inside the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and any other dependencies included.
What should I do if the downloaded file is corrupted?
The full archive is 21.20 GB — make sure your download completed fully before extracting. Use 7-Zip to extract the files. If you still see a "file corrupted" error, re-download and try again.
Do I need to run the game as administrator?
Usually, no. Start the game normally from the extracted folder. If you see a permissions or save error, check that the folder is writable and follow the game's documented fix. Only grant administrator access when a trusted game's specific setup requires it.
How do I update my GPU drivers for this game?
The game won't launch — what should I try?
Check that extraction completed and your PC meets the system requirements. Note any error message before choosing a fix. If it identifies a missing runtime, install the required DirectX components or Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft.
My antivirus is blocking the game — is it safe?
A warning needs to be investigated; the download source alone cannot confirm that a file is safe. Keep your security software enabled and review the detection details. Do not run or restore a flagged file unless you have verified that it is a false positive. If you are unsure, leave it quarantined.
